INSURANCE APPRAISAL
Insurance appraisals are the most common type of jewelry appraisal, and for good reason. Most standard homeowners insurance policies do not fully cover high-value jewelry in the event of loss, theft, natural disaster, or other incidents. To ensure proper protection, insurance companies typically require a separate rider or dedicated jewelry policy, backed by a formal appraisal for each piece.
An insurance appraisal includes:
- A current replacement value based on fair market pricing
- A detailed, accurate description of the jewelry, including gemstone specifics, metal type, craftsmanship, and more
- High-resolution photographs for identification and documentation
This comprehensive documentation ensures that, in the event of loss, your jewelry can be properly identified, replaced, or even recreated as an exact duplicate.
At Simone and Son, we provide thorough, professional insurance appraisals using advanced gemological tools and industry expertise—giving you peace of mind and the protection your jewelry deserves.
